“Afloat” sym­bol­ic­ally reminds us of the dire eco­lo­gic­al situ­ation in cer­tain regions of the world due to plastic pol­lu­tion, and how it affects loc­al pop­u­la­tions forced to live with it and who depend on it to sur­vive through illeg­al recyc­ling.
