The series “The bees” is a reminder of the importance of those insects in the survival of our planet. The bees seem foraging the knot of the garbage bag like they would with a flower. Like the impact that the disappearance of bees has on plant reproducion, this work alerts not only to the threat that human pollution poses on this fragile species, but also to the proliferation of our waste. Completed with charcoal pencil and coloured pencil, this series seems to capture a precise moment, like a photo. The very low depth of field invites the viewer in this microcosm where plastic is king.
