Drawings
The black chalk technique is Murmure’s favorite technique. Contrary to the traditional drawing where one starts from a white page which one blackens, here Murmure starts from the black to go towards the white. Just like the subject that is initially dark but through the surrealism becomes lighter. The graphic rendering is subtle, the shapes are soft, raw and sometimes imperfect without ever reaching the pure white and clarity of the sheet of paper.
