Background » est une série de peintures réalisée sur plaques de plastique recyclées. Les milliers de morceaux de plastique forment des compositions aléatoires, des motifs naturels qui ressortent à la fabrication et servent de fond à l’œuvre. Chaque support est donc unique !
« Clear water » ironiquement fait référence à ces endroits sublimes sur Terre qui semblent épargner par la pollution mais qui cachent une réalité bien moins reluisante et qui continue à attirer les touristes par milliers. La rivière ici semble propre mais si on élargit l’image on voit la pollution sur les rives.
« Background » is a series of paintings made on recycled plastic sheets. The thousands of pieces of plastic form random compositions, natural patterns that stand out in the making and serve as the background to the artwork. Each support is therefore unique!
« Clear water » ironically refers to those magnificient places on Earth which seem to be free of pollution but which hide a much less brilliant reality and which continues to attract tourists by the thousands. The river here looks clean but if you enlarge the image you can see the pollution on the banks.
