“Wil­son” est une œuvre créée pour un group show inti­t­ulé “Post­cards of 2020” à galerie Stolen­Space à Lon­dres dont la thé­ma­tique était “Le ressen­tit de l’artiste sur l’an­née 2020”. Mur­mure a tra­ver­sé cette année 2020 dans une pro­duc­tion assidue du pro­jet Garb-age mais égale­ment, comme l’ensem­ble de la planète, dans un isole­ment social. C’est pourquoi nous avons choisie de réin­ter­préter l’im­age iconique de “l’a­mi” de Tom Han­ks dans le film « Seul au monde » en celle de notre ami imag­i­naire peint sur un sac poubelle.

“Wil­son” is a work cre­at­ed for the group show exhi­bi­tion “Post­cards of 2020” show­cased by Stolen­Space gallery in Lon­don, for which each artist cre­at­ed an unique work as an ‘Ode to 2020’ and what the events of the year have meant to them. Mur­mure went through this year 2020 with an assid­u­ous pro­duc­tion of the Garb-age project but also, like the whole plan­et, in social iso­la­tion. This is why we have cho­sen to rein­ter­pret the icon­ic image of Tom Han­ks’s “friend” in the film “Cast Away” into that of our imag­i­nary friend paint­ed on a garbage bag.
